Synopsis

A Mouthfulla Sacco and Vanzetti

Michael Smith

Published by Cyberpress

3 Male 3 Female

The Marx Brothers meet Karl Marx in this slapstick re-imagining of the famous 1920s trial that exposed the dark heart of American intolerance, corruption, inhumanity, and other sight gags

Two Italian immigrants, Sacco and Vanzetti, were arrested and then railroaded to the electric chair - for the April 15, 1920, murder of two men during the robbery of a payroll truck in South Braintree, Mass

They subsequently became an international symbol for the oppressed, for the laboring classes, for immigration issues

This fast-talking comedy mixes politics, romance and vaudeville humor in a unique re-envisioning of an American injustice
