Over the three plays we see Arnold's on/off relationship with bi-sexual Ed who eventually leaves him to marry Laurel
The second play takes place a year later when Arnold and his new lover, Alan are invited to the country with Ed and his wife which ends in complications
The third play sees Arnold five years on
Alan has been brutally murdered by a vicious gang
Ed has left Laurel for Arnold's sofa-bed
And Arnold also has to deal with David, a gay delinquent teenager who has been rejected from his foster parents
Not to mention the imminent arrival of his mother
