Three Colours Trilogy

The untimely death of Krzysztof Kieslowski in 1996 robbed cinema of one of its true geniuses. His Three Colours trilogy is his last completed work. The trilogy is based on the colours of the French flag, each film embodying one of its tenets: Liberty, Equality, and Fraternity

Blue tells the story of a woman almost demolished by grief; White shows Poland in the throes of embracing the principles of free enterprise; and Red presents the compelling relationship betweeen a young model and an elderly voyeur

All three films present the notion of all our lives receding into an infinity of other lives in a way that is powerful and moving
