A few years after Lizzie Borden's trial and acquittal for the murder of her father and stepmother, she invites some actor's from a touring company to her sister's home to re-enact the crime. Later the Borden's receive an unexpected visitor - Bridget Sullivan, a servant at the time of the crime. The question is - why did Lizzie gave her a sum of money, to conceal her own guilt or to cover-up Bridget's crime?
