Eric Maschwitz & Hy Kraft Bernard Grun from Anton Dvorak

Published by Samuel French Ltd

Large Mixed Cast
A charming musical tale of composer Anton Dvorak's trip to a remote Illinois lumber town populated largely by Bohemian immigrants under the dominance of hard-headed Irish woman Ma Flannagan. The famous composer plays piano in Flannagan's saloon and gives benevolent advice to the townsfolk on business and romance. During this time Dvorak's inspiration returns and with it his most popular creation - the New World Symphony.

This fabulously busy show offers wonderful opportunties for harmonized choral work, lively dance numbers and small chorus roles as well as strong principal singers and straight acting roles.
