Synopsis

Thin Ice

William Jackson

Published by Cyberpress

Large Mixed Cast

Thin Ice depicts a Midwest trial, telling the story of Huston Jones - a youth shot by a policeman

It explores the victim's experiences, and the views of others, including the police officer

Samantha Jones - widow of the college football player victim - decides to sue the policeman

Witnesses give Rashomon-like testimonies

And last-minute evidence (cell phone footage on a flash drive) seems to show the policeman panicked and used undue force

The action throughout is observed by the ghost of Huston Jones, who responds with rap rhythms, impressing us with his humanity before he drifts into the afterlife
