Synopsis
Return to Thrush Green
Published by Cyberpress
Miss Read (Dora Saint), 1913-2012 had written three novels about the entirely imaginary village of Fairacre when she turned to the real village of Woodgreen in the Cotswolds for the inspiration for a new novel
Thrush Green was published in 1959 and tells the charming tale of one significant day- the first of May, when the annual fair visits the village green
Following the very successful performance of Miss Read's Thrush Green, adapted for the stage by Ron Perry in 2017, Miss Read Remembered brings to the stage a collection of events from the life of Miss Read together with excerpts from the original play
Miss Read Remembered is an ideal companion play to Miss Reads's Thrush Green
