'Pizzazz' is a trilogy of plays sharing the common theme of travel. In 'A View from the Obelisk', Owen, who is recovering from heart surgery, returns to Ireland and wants to show Rosemary the view from a hilltop near Dublin. The climb takes its toll on him and Rosemary leaves him to collect the car

Whilst she is gone Owen meets a young artist who seems strangely familiar... In 'Roman Fever', Mrs Slade and Mrs Ansley sit on a restaurant terrace in Rome reminiscing about a holiday they had shared there many years before. Bitter resentments are reawoken and the memories and illusions of both women are shattered

In the title play 'Pizzazz' two apparent strangers play an elaborate game of re-enacting a marriage on the rocks whilst waiting to hire cabin cruisers on the River Shannon. The others in the reception area are called in as supporting cast, but all is not as it seems...
