Originally based on the John Waters film, Hairspray again became a movie in 2007, incorporating Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman's songs from the Broadway musical

The CDs feature 18 songs from the Broadway & Movie musical

The Vocal & Backing tracks are recorded in the original show key and show tempo and are of particular value to those of you preparing to stage the musical or preparing to audition

Each of the 18 songs appears on the album twice - once with Backing Tracks & Guide Vocals, and once with Backing Tracks only

This enables the performer to learn a song by singing along with the vocals and music, and then practice their technique accompanied only by the backing track

The CDs will work in any CD player and there's a booklet of the lyrics enclosed in the CD jewel case

Even better, if you have a karaoke machine, the lyrics will magically appear on-screen as it's also CDG compatible
