Flour Babies

$13.99

Ann Fine with Rachel O'Neill

Published by Collins

How would you feel if you had to go to school and look after a baby? The students in Mr Cartright's class have the chance to find out when they're given an unusual project - to care for six pound sacks of flour as if they were babies

But Simon Martin takes his new responsibility so seriously that the others soon become worried. Does Simon think his flour baby is real? And what will happen when the project is over?

This play is suitable for class work, drama lessons and school productions. The accompanying resource material includes practical staging advice and ideas for improvisation arising from the script, poems, and extracts from fictional and non-fictional writing. The issues of parenthood, families, growing up and peer pressure are further explored through activities involving drama, discussion and creative writing
